Events included youth storytelling time at the Corinne Costin Gibson Memorial Public Library in Port St. Joe and the Charles Whitehead Public Library in Wewahitchka.

Students at both Wewahitchka and Port St. Joe Elementary Schools spent classroom time reading and learning about Dr. King.

Other community events included a ‘walking together’ parade and a “day on, not a day off” activities in Port St. Joe consisting of a community clean-up project, adult and youth kickball and basketball games, musical concerts and a walk-a-thon.
