Carlton Ernest Rich, 56, of Port St. Joe, FL passed away from a brief illness on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016.

Carlton Ernest Rich, 56, of Port St. Joe, FL passed away from a brief illness on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016.

Carlton was born in Port St. Joe on Jan. 30, 1960 to John and Trixye Rich who predeceased him.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port St. Joe.

Carlton spent his life working in the petroleum industry and was more recently an independent drilling fluids engineer contractor for approximately 14 years.

He loved to work in his Dad’s garden, hunt, fish, cook, spend time with friends and hang out with his much-loved dog, Blue.

He is survived by two brothers Eddy (Lajuana) and Larry (Cindy); one sister Tina (David); as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Also a very special companion Susan Wilder.

There was  a “Celebration of his Life” held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Port St. Joe. Visitation and memorial services followed.
