Romula Alicia Andrada, 90, of Port St. Joe, Florida, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Sacred Heart on the Gulf under the care of Covenant Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. EST on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2001 Monument Avenue, Port St. Joe, Florida with Father Chris Winklejohn officiating. The family held a private visitation in the chapel at Whatley Funeral Services, 507 10th Street, Port St. Joe, Florida on Sunday, September 24, 2017.
Mrs. Andrada, daughter of the late Manuel Villarruz and Florentina Ocampo Villarruz, was born September 7, 1927 in Ivisan, Capiz, Philippines. She retired from the Department of Justice as a Cashier and Disbursing Officer. Romula loved spending time with her family, cooking, playing Bingo, line dancing and going to church. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port. St Joe. When Romula lived in San Francisco, California, she was a member of the Eucharistic Minister at St. Barnabas Church, and Catholic Charities.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Andrada is preceded in death by her husband, Orlando Varnal Andrada; and brothers Querubin Villarruz, Manuel Villarruz, Jr., and William Villarruz. Survivors include her daughter, May Fuze of Port St. Joe, FL; son, Rolando Andrada of Port St. Joe, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Fuze (Shannon) of Tulsa, OK., Philipp Fuze of Arlington, VA., Raymond Robles Andrada of Port St. Joe, FL., Cathlyn Mae Robles Andrada of Port St. Joe, FL and Catherine Grace Robles Andrada of the Philippines; great-grandchildren, Elijah Fuze and Noah Fuze of Tulsa, OK; sisters Fely Villarruz Tuano of Philippines, Vickie Villarruz (Barry) of New York and Lily Seraspe (Romulo) of Philippines; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
