Raising heart and stroke awareness
GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club members and guests met on Feb. 2 at the Sunset Coastal Grill in Port St. Joe for National Wear Red Day. Dressed in red scarfs, shirts, dresses and jackets, Club members stood out and brought awareness to heart and stroke disease. It is a known fact that heart disease is the number one killer of women so GFWC Wewahitchka Women Club members took a stand to inspire all of us to adopt heart-healthy behaviors. Take action today by learning more about your risk for heart disease and stroke.
If you would like to learn more about all the exciting programs and projects we do in support of our community, visit our Facebook page, GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club and join us at our regular monthly meeting, the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. CT at the Glad Tidings Church Fellowship Hall in Wewahitchka.
Our next meeting is Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. CT and Ray Bodrey, Gulf County Extension Director, Extension Agent II will be our guest speaker. Hope to see you there!
