Health and fitness are important parts of daily living and critical to help with our ability to function, particularly as we age.
A 2 p.m. ET on Feb. 20, Shad Smith, the Program Director of Sports Medicine/Community Health at Sacred Heart on the Gulf, will offer expert tips on exercise and healthy eating at the Tuesdays @ 2 Lecture Series. Smith notes that you don’t have to go to the gym to improve your health, just take time to plan and incorporate exercise as part of your day. A long time fitness enthusiast, Shad enjoys the chance to educate others about the importance of health, wellness and fitness. A native of Indiana, he now calls Mexico Beach home where he enjoys all sports—primarily tennis, volleyball and football. He started his career in sports medicine and has developed a passion for health and fitness. Shad also teaches part-time online and spends his free time playing tennis, working out or reading about health and fitness.
The presentation is free and open to the public. The Port St. Joe Public Library is located at 100 Library Drive.
