How to find and live a life of meaning and purpose will be discussed at a new Lifetree Café lunch setting 11:30 a.m. CT Friday, Sept. 7. This is a total change from the previous Monday night schedule.
The program, titled “Living a Rich Life: Finding Meaning and Purpose,” features a filmed interview with Christine Garde, a woman who left an influential political position to launch a gang diversion program by moving into an urban gang-infested neighborhood.
“It utterly changed my life. It was the hardest thing I ever did and the best thing I ever did,” said Garde. “Suddenly I was experiencing joy and passion for the first time.”
During the program participants have the opportunity to discuss times they have felt fulfillment in their own lives.
Admission to the 60-minute event is free. A simple lunch and beverages are available. Lifetree Café is located at 1602 U.S. Highway 98 in Mexico Beach across from El Governor Motel.
