Melvin Louis "Crook" Lindsey, Jr., passed away December 2, 2018, in Panama City, Florida after a long illness. Melvin was born October 6, 1933, to parents Melvin Lindsey Sr. and Ludie May Hill.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ida Belle Lindsey. He is survived by Louis Edward Lindsey (Mary Jane) of Port St Joe, Charles Lydoll Lindsey (Debbie) of Wewahitchka, Lynn Wayne Lindsey (Brenda) of Deland, Donald Capps (Donna) of West Palm, Freddy Capps (Faye) of Port St Joe and Robert Capps (Regina) of Overstreet. He is also survived by brothers John Gordon Lindsey (Sandra) and Fred H. Lindsey of Sumatra. He leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Melvin worked as a logger for four years and then worked as a Maintenance Foreman at St Joe Papermill from 1943 until he retired in 1995. He loved to deer hunt and fish.

Visitation was held December 4, 2018 graveside from 1-2 p.m. ET at Holly Hill Cemetery. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. ET.
