Nicholas (Nick) William Irby, 17, of Orange Park, FL, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Orange Park Medical Center. Nick was a senior at Oakleaf High School in Orange Park, FL. He enjoyed PC gaming, bowling, chess, going to movies and spending time with his friends. Nick brought so much joy to his family and friends with his wonderful sense of humor, personality, and quirkiness, he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him; he liked nothing better than to harass (lovingly) and pull jokes on people, especially his mom and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Hugh and Madge Semmes: and his aunt, Mary Jane Minger.

Nick is survived by his father, Jack Irby, Jr. of Orange Park, FL; mother, Allison Semmes Patterson; step-father, James Patterson II of Orange Park, FL; two brothers, Zachary and Jacob Irby both of Orange Park, FL; step-brother, Trey Patterson, of Pace, FL; step-sister, Allyssa Kleinschmidt of Atlanta, GA; grandparents, Tom and Dianne Semmes, of Wewahitchka, FL; aunt, Amy Semmes of Centreville, VA; grandparents, Jack and Donna Irby of of Fairplay, MD; godfather, Dr. Ralph Boyd of Pensacola, FL; great aunt, Teresa Lykins of Wewahitchka, FL; great uncles, John Semmes and Glenn Semmes of Wewahitchka, FL and Richard Minger of Port St. Joe, FL; and cousins, Rusty Smith, Angela Harris, Justin White, Jeffery Semmes and Carl Lykins.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. (CST) at Westside Baptist Church in Wewahitchka, FL with Pastor Derrick Gerber officiating. Interment followed in Roberts Cemetery in Honeyville, FL. The family received friends Friday, November 16, 2018 from 10 a.m. (CST) until service time at 11 a.m. (CST) at Westside Baptist Church.
