A Tallahassee dispensary, Trulieve, was expected to be the first ever dispensary to sell smokable whole-flower bud Tuesday in Florida, the Tallahassee Democrat reports.

Even though lawmakers were able to push past the ban, the smokable bud is still not for sale in Florida dispensaries. And if Trulieve does begin to sell the product, all sales would still need to be monitored by the State Department of Health.

The anticipated change for the dispensary came just two days after Gov. Ron Desantis signed the SB 182 bill to revoke a ban on smokable medical marijuana.

If the smokable product overcomes restrictions, it will be sold at 26 Trulieve Florida dispensaries across major cities like Miami and Orlando, the Tallahassee Democrat reports.

Proud to be a part of the first sale of smokeable cannabis in Florida@Trulieve! We will continue to fulfill our commitment to patients by offering choice and access.https://t.co/nWriGzyEyP
