If Hurricane Michael rearranged your personal items and they are in the Buffer Preserve boundaries you may retrieve them. To do this, you must contact the Preserve Manager as soon as possible. A staff member or volunteer will be arranged to escort you around certain areas within the Preserve to retrieve your items. The Preserve manager requests that you not try to gather your items without first scheduling an escort. This is for your own safety.

The Preserve is currently working with contractors who will be doing a large-scale debris removal project beginning on July 1. This will remove most of the debris currently in the Preserve. It is necessary that all debris belonging to neighbors or anyone affected by Hurricane Michael be removed from the Preserve before July 1. Contractors and Preserve staff will begin removing debris and hauling it away at that time.

If you have questions, please contact Preserve Manager Dylan Shoemaker on his work cell: 247-9550. Preserve phones are not working currently and the manager, staff, and volunteers spend a lot of time in the field, so it is not advisable to just stop in for information due to construction taking place.
