Wewahitchka Veteran’s Park (Coming soon)

The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club is partnering with the City of Wewahitchka to establish a Veteran’s Park to honor our veterans. We are selling 4x8 bricks with veteran’s name, rank, branch with service emblem for $56. These pavers will be placed around two monuments as well as the United States of America flag and all service flags in their perspective order.

This site is located at 169 State 71 N, in front of Lake Alice Park. A simulated photo will be published at a later date. Donations would be greatly appreciated. Call any GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club member to place an order. For more information contact Betty Jo Cooper, Chairman 814-1791 or Carolyn Watson, President at 340-1984.

National Arbor Day

In honor of National Arbor Day, GFWC members picked up beautiful trees that were generously given out to our community by Florida Forest Service. We lost so many trees and by getting these trees we are able to give others trees to plant.

Conservation Chair sold centerpieces to raise money and with member donations made it possible to give a larger Blooming Pear tree to North Florida Child Development Center to plant with their "students." The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club Conservation community service program (CSP) will be starting a “City of Wewahitchka Beautification “program this fall and welcome any monetary and material donations.
