Mr. James Raymond Heath, Sr., age 84, of Port St. Joe, Florida, departed for Heaven on Monday, May 27, 2019.
Raymond was born on July 31, 1934 in Pensacola, Florida to parents Richard and Louise Heath. After serving in the U.S. Army, he moved to Port St. Joe where he met the love of his life, Betty Dees. They were married on December 20, 1958 and enjoyed 60 long years together.
Raymond was employed with the St. Joe Paper Company Container Division for 41 years and in his off-time had a T.V. repair business as well. After the closing of the container division he was employed with Gulf Transportation for 11 years. He loved spending time with his family and making memories with his children, grandchildren and great-grands.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Louise Heath; one brother, Bobby Heath; Two sisters, Kathleen Bass and Lois Williams; and his beloved son, James R. Heath, Jr.
Left to cherish his memories are; his loving wife, Betty Heath; daughter Rhonda Pennington husband Rick; Brothers Tommy Heath and wife Flora, Ed Heath and wife Betty, Dickie Heath and one sister Betty Grace; Grandchildren, B.J. Pierce (Sarah), Justin Pierce (Laura), Jordan Heath, Ricky Pennington (Kayla), Raquel Pennington; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Funeral services were held Thursday May 30, 2019 at 1 p.m. (EST) at Hope Family Worship Center with Pastor David Fernandez and Pastor Glen Davis officiating. The family received friends from 12 p.m. until service. Interment at Holly Hill Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Comforter Funeral Home.
