Selma Shiver Braswell Roberts was called home Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in Eastpoint, FL surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born in Donalsonville Ga, and raised from 13 Mile to Eastpoint, FL, the daughter of a fishing family, moving within the county wherever the fishing was best. She attended Chapman High School in Apalachicola and Carrabelle High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Ola Shiver; her husband Floyd Roberts; and her daughter Martha P. Glass.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her children, Connie Cooper and husband, Jim Wayne Neil Braswell, Sr. and wife Debbie, Sandra “Candi” Allen and husband Dwayne; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; her siblings, Dewey Shiver and wife Bonnie, Bonnie Whitehurst, and Coy Shiver and wife Sharon; as well as many, many other relatives and friends.
All who knew her loved her.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. E.D.T. Friday, May 31, 2019, at the Eastpoint United Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Bobby Shiver. Interment followed in Eastpoint Cemetery.
A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Services are under the direction of Comforter Funeral Home.
