Paula Annette Boone, a lifelong resident of St. Joe Beach, passed away at her home on Aug. 10, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, two children, her grandson, an older brother, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many of her closest friends.
Paula was active in the community and cared deeply about the town she lived in. For many years she volunteered in the local Gulf and East Bay Sea Turtle Patrol. Many people could see her at the Port St. Joe Public Library, where she worked until her retirement this past June. Additionally, she had a passion for genealogy and was a serving officer in the St. Joseph Bay Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. Paula was also an active member of the St. Joseph Historical Society.
To her family and friends, Paula was very loving and brought joy and laughter to their lives. We will be holding a ceremony for her on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the end of Pineda Street in St. Joe Beach, 6999 West Hwy 98. Family visitation will begin at 4 p.m. EST to celebrate her life. Paula loved the beach, to honor and remember her, a ceremony will be held down on the beach, at sundown, beginning at 6:30 p.m. So dress for the beach, kick off your shoes and join us in remembering Paula.
