After time and consideration combined with input from the public, the city of Port St. Joe will hold its annual Ghost on the Coast celebration along Reid Ave.

The celebration will begin with a Costume Contest at 5:30 p.m. ET Thursday, Oct. 31 in City Commons at the corner of State 71 and Reid Ave.

There will be three divisions: ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-10; Family and Group; and Pets.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each division.

Trick-or-treating will begin immediately after the Costume Contest when the Fire Whistle sounds.

Folks are asked not to pass out candy until the Fire Whistle goes off.

Donations of candy maybe dropped off at City Hall.

Christmas on the Coast

The annual Christmas on the Coast parade will be held beginning at 6 p.m. ET Saturday, Dec. 14.

There will be four categories this year: School and Non-Profit; Family and Friends; Business; Faith-Based.

Ribbons will be presented to the top three winners in each category.

Participants should be lined up by 5 p.m. as judging begins at 5:15 p.m.

Parade entry forms and posters are available at City Hall or online at www.cityofportstjoe.com.

Entry forms must be returned by 5 p.m. ET Tuesday, Dec. 10 to participate in the parade.
