Wewahitchka Veteran’s Park Ground Breaking Ceremony


Mark your calendars for 10 a.m. CT Nov. 11. We will be having a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Wewahitchka Veteran’s Park at Lake Alice located at 169 State 71 N. There will be a fish fry for all Veterans’ and spouses at 11 a.m. CST after the ceremony at the Lake Alice pavilion. Bricks are still for sell at $56 each, includes name, rank and service with an emblem of the branch served. These pavers will be placed around two monuments as well as the United States of America flag and all service flags in their perspective order. Donations are being accepted and greatly appreciated. Flower Power fundraiser


GFWC Conservation Community Service Program (CSP) is selling Amaryllis and Paperwhite kits. Each kit contains a bulb, soil disc and pot in a vintage burlap bag with decorative gift tag ready for gift giving. For as little as $22 you have a perfect gift for nature lovers or yourself. By selling these flowers we are able to fund Conservation projects in and around Wewahitchka. Help us to make a difference with our projects.
