As they do each year, the faculty, staff and students at Port St. Joe Jr./Sr. High School will host a Veterans Day program 9 a.m. ET Monday in the R. Marion Craig Coliseum with a reception to follow in the media center.


All veterans will be recognized by branch and service and the morning will be completed by an exhibition by the Port St. Joe Jr./Sr. High School NJROTC drill team.


The guitar class will play patriotic music and students will recite The Gettysburg Address and “In Flanders Field.


The speaker will get Commander Tony Almon, NJROTC instructor and former SEAL.


In addition, those from Gulf County who have fought and died in the country’s wars will be individually recognized.


The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
