GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club Day of Service

MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities and is observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off.”

On Jan. 20, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club took 120 emergency personal hygiene products bags to the Panama City Rescue Mission. Each bag contained a washcloth, soap, shampoo, lotion, razor, toothpaste and a toothbrush, dental floss and a comb. The club also took a large bag full of more toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap.

With winter’s arrival many need gloves and socks. We would love to gather gloves and/or socks to take to the shelter. GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club is a non-profit 501c3 organization; therefore your donations are 100% deductible.
