Gulf County Democrats will meet 6:30 p.m. ET Monday at the Port St. Joe Garden Center at 216 8th Street to celebrate Black History Month with local community members, including literature readings, door prizes, and conversation.
Douglas Wallace, Taylor County resident, and campaign manager for District 2 Congressional candidate Dr. Willie J. Anderson D.D., will speak in honor of Black History Month about the hidden past of North Florida during the Jim Crow Era.
