Taylor Crews, an employee of the Gulf County Property Appraiser’s office since 2016, recently received his designation as a “Certified Florida Evaluator”.
In order to qualify for this professional designation, an applicant must have at least 2 years’ experience in a Florida property appraiser’s office. Along with the years of experience, the applicant must attend a minimum of 120 hours of approved course work and pass properly monitored written examinations. Those courses which Taylor completed are as follows:
• Course 101 – Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal
• Course 102 – Income Approach to Valuation
• Course 201 – Appraisal of Land
• Course 301 – Fundamentals of Mass Appraisal
Taylor is a graduate of Wewahitchka High School and the University of Florida. At the University of Florida, he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Real Estate and Urban Land Studies. He has over 30 years as a real estate appraiser in the Memphis, Tennessee metropolitan area and served over 20 years as a member of the West Memphis, AR Planning Commission.
