During a special meeting Wednesday morning, the Board of County Commissioners formally declared a public health emergency.
The declaration is for 10 days and can be extended by either the board chair or county administrator.
In addition, the board cancelled Tuesday’s regularly-scheduled monthly board meeting.
Further, as of end-of-business Wednesday, all county buildings will be closed to the public.
Some county employees will continue to work, but public interaction will be cut to a minimum save by phone or email.
The courts have already closed for public hearings. --- Tim Croft
