Andrew Ross Davis of Wewahitchka, FL ran into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 27, 2019. Born February 7, 2008, Ross was a warrior fighting both Chiari Malformation and MPS III known as Sanfilippo Syndrome. While his time here was short, his mark on the lives and hearts of many will remain forever.
Ross is survived by his parents, Andrew and Jessica Davis of Wewahitchka, FL and his younger sister, Meredith Kate who is also a Sanfilippo Warrior; grandparents Reverend Nick and Janet Davis of White City, FL and John and Sandra Slay of Molino, FL; special friends Jakwavian Gray, Brianna Shackelford, Charlene Dickens; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 31 from 6-8 p.m. at the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church in Wewahitchka. Funeral services will be Friday, November 1 at 10 a.m. CT. The family welcomes those children who dearly loved Ross.
Ross taught us how to live life to its fullest, how to bravely accept adversity with grace, how to find joy in life, and how to unselfishly love others. Ross could melt your heart with a smile and tell a story with his beautiful blue eyes. It is often said that one loses his or her battle with a disease, yet Ross did not lose. While our hearts are broken, we know that Ross is now in the “Lord’s Army – Yes Sir.”
Kelley Funeral Home in Apalachicola (323-1301) is assisting the family in all arrangements as this alleviates the family being bogged down with logistical questions so Florist and friends can call us with any questions. Thanks so much.
