Rae Ellen Floyd, a long time resident of Wewahitchka FL, died Friday the 21st of February at Bay Medical Center after a sudden illness. Rae Ellen was born on the 23rd of April, 1957 in Glendale West Virginia but was raised in Bradenton Fl. Rae Ellen met Kenneth Floyd, a US Marine, on July 1, 1976 and they spent the next 43 years of their lives together, showing everyone what true love and marriage is all about.

They had two daughters together, Heather and Holly. Rae Ellen was a fighter, having survived breast cancer four times.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Floyd of Wewahitchka, her daughters Heather Dyas of Wewahitchka (husband Cole Dyas) and Holly Danford of Clayton NC, her sisters Theresa Soleau of Bradenton Fl (husband Thomas Soleau) and Elizabeth Keller of Asheville NC, her brother Jim Wells of Bradenton FL (wife Lynne Wells), seven grandchildren, Tyler, Melody, Joey, DJ, Jonathan, Colby and Dominic, her niece Emily Benner and her nephew Thomas Soleau.

Funeral arrangements were at the First United Methodist Church in Wewahitchka on Thursday, February 27, 2020. Visitation took place from 9-10 a.m. with funeral services starting at 10 a.m. CT.
