Carrie Lucille Pierce, 85, of Panama City, FL passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at Seagrass

Village Memory Care Center. She was born in Crossville, TN to Arthur and Lola Bolin on

February 4, 1935. Known as Lucille, she had been a resident of Bay County since 1991, moving here from Port St. Joe, FL. Having been a stay at home mom, she embarked on a new career at the age of 41 and attended Haney Vocational Technical School pursuing a Cosmetology License. Lucille worked for a couple of shops before taking a leap and opening up her own store

called The Beauty Boutique in Port St. Joe. Later, wanting to be nearer to their grandchildren, she and her husband, Frank, moved to Panama City where she worked managing a clothing store, Casual Corner, in the Mall. After retiring from Casual Corner, her love of kids and overall energetic disposition led her to work at Jeanie’s Daycare. Lucille accepted the Lord into her life as a girl and was always involved in church, working in the nursery as well as teaching children’s Sunday School classes. Never one to sit still she loved gardening and playing with her grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by the love of her life, Frank J. Pierce, father and mother, Arthur and Lola Bolin, great grandson, Hunter Hitt, two sisters, Nora Smith and

Agnus Frazier, five brothers, Homer, Everitt, Cecil, J.V., and Raymond Bolin, a nephew,

Jonathan Pierce, Father and Mother in law, Jesse and Hattie Mae Pierce, brother in law, Floyd

(Marilee) Pierce, and a sister in law, Evelyn Watkins. Mrs. Pierce is survived by her son Gregg

Pierce (Cathy), grandchildren Chelsea Hitt (Dan), Cori Wood (Zach), Jesse Pierce (Cecilia); a sister, Bobbi Howard, brother in law, Paul Pierce (Charlotte). Great grandchildren, Lexi, Lincoln, and Autumn Hitt, Joel, Noah, and Olivia Wood, Wyatt, Elijiah, and Phoenix Pierce as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date due to the present health concerns.
