Even on the season was not nearly good enough for the Port St. Joe Jr./Sr. High School girls’ basketball team.

The Lady Tiger Sharks (7-3 overall, 4-0 in District 4-1A) won three lopsided games last week, including the finale of the Gulf County Classic.

Port St. Joe played at Bozeman Monday and will participate in the North Bay Haven Christmas Tournament this weekend.

After the holiday break, Port St. Joe will be on the road at Tallahassee Godby.

Port St. Joe 59, Liberty County 17

Port St. Joe hit the road for the third district game of the season and it was no contest from the opening whistle. The Lady Tiger Sharks opened with a 26-2 run and was up 54-5 at halftime.

Jae Lenox scored 16 points and added two rebounds, three assists and five steals.

India Gant added 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal and Amani Jones 10 points, two rebounds and two assists.

Mari Johnson chipped in eight points, four rebounds, six steals, one block and two assists, Mimi Larry six points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and four blocks, Shadavia Hudgins four points and a steal and Jahneese Brathwaite one point, two rebounds and two assists.

Port St. Joe 51, Blountstown 25

This one was in “The Dome” but the results were not much different.

Port St. Joe led just 8-6 after the first period but it was 25-12 by halftime.

Port St. Joe pushed the lead to 37-20 after three and kept the game in hand during the final period.

Lenox led the way with 20 points, three rebounds, eight assists and five steals.

Gant had 11 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks, Larry 11 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks, Jones five points, eight rebounds and a block, Brathwaite two points, three rebounds, one assist and three steals, Hudgins a point and a steal and Johnson five rebounds to go with a point and one steal.

Port St. Joe 83, North Florida Christian

This game was the nightcap for Saturday’s "The Gulf County Classic" and was a rematch of a game from just 10 days prior.

NFC was up 17-16 after the first period but by halftime Port St. Joe was up 37-31.

The Lady Tiger Sharks tightened the defense and allowed just 15 points in the second half as Port St. Joe coasted to victory.

Lenox led Port St. Joe with 26 points and added three rebounds, eight assists and six steals while Larry added 20 points, three rebounds, eight assists, four blocks and three steals.

Gant scored 10 points and added six rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks, Jones also scored 10 points and added 13 rebounds, two assists, three steals and five blocks, Johnson nine points, seven rebounds, three steals and one block and Brathwaite and Hudgins scored four points apiece.
