Private graveside funeral services for Charles William “Billy” Jordan, 83, of Cairo, GA, will be in Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Rev. Chris Allen will officiate. Mr. Jordan passed away at his home in Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

Mr. Jordan was born on August 29, 1936, in Whigham, GA, to the late William Lamar Jordan and Veltry Walden Jordan. He served his country in the National Guard. On December 24, 1959, he married Juanita Kinchen Jordan, who survives. They were married for over 60 years. He started his work career with Watkins Motor Lines in Atlanta, GA and later was owner and operator of Jordan’s Lawn Care in the Atlanta area. After moving to Cairo, he worked for Walmart. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo.

Survivors include: his wife, Juanita Kinchen Jordan of Cairo, GA; daughters, Angela Carol Jordan of Cairo, GA, Cynthia Jordan Puttkammer (Kyle) of Duluth, GA; grandchildren, Eric Jordan of Cairo, GA, Andrea Puttkammer of Duluth, GA, Anna Puttkammer of Duluth GA; sisters, Ava J. Sowell of Panama City, FL, Belinda A. Atchison (Homer) of Clearwater, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
